As a young child growing up in Montana, I quizzed my first grade school bus driver about buying stocks and I have my first business partnership in elementary school. My classmate and I ran 'Kritter Kids' doing yard cleanup for dog owners. Three pieces for a quarter!

My life took an unexpected turn and I grew up in the foster care system until aging out at 18. I was asked to testify to the Montana State Legislature and I helped write the Foster Care Bill of Rights. Growing up in the foster care system and institutions slowed my momentum, but I've kept my focus on owning my own business. The only room I have is to grow! Broadwater Lawn Care is my first venture as an adult. I've offered many services and will continue to re-invest and expand as I can.

May 2025 Update:  I started this lawncare business to provide honest, hardworking service to our community. Recently, our family welcomed a beautiful baby boy who was born with serious medical needs. Right now, I’m focusing on caring for him and continuing service for a smaller group of longtime customers. I’m not able to take on new clients at this time, but I hope to grow the business again once our little guy is doing better. Broadwater Lawn Care is owned by David Carpenter. I both live and operate in Billings, Montana. My focus is a good mow without the frills, and our price reflects this.
